9th Day In Country...!

This afternoon's visit was...well...just like every other visit!  Carter's eye is looking quite a bit better - less runny/goopy, at least.

We brought Carter's Scentsy Lion along to this visit - he seemed to like it.  We have the apple pie scent pak inside - and we also have the apple pie scent tins at the apartment.  AND we have the apple pie scent bricks at home in our Scentsy Warmer...all ready to go.  Our hope is that he'll be familiar with the scent by the time we leave this country with him - and when we get home, a new scent is one less thing he'll have to adjust to.

It might not make a stinkin' bit of difference to Carter...but who knows.  It's worth a shot, right?!

We've been teaching Carter to make noises with his lips using his hand.  He's picked it up pretty quickly - and now as soon as we raise our hand to our lips, he mimics.  It's pretty cute :)

We've also been working on giving kisses.  He's getting there :)

Carter snuggled on Jake's chest for a good 15-20 minutes...and we all laughed when he sat up with bed head :)

And this guy's walking is out of control!  He's gained so much confidence - so much independence.  Maybe a little too much confidence, as you'll see at the very end of the clip :)

That's all for today - a shorty, I know :)  I've got drama on the brain...and really, truly - I hate drama.  No - I loathe it.  Ughhhhh........

So I'm thinking that a cup of Milka Hot Chocolate is maybe calling my name (and I'm SURE it's calling Rachel's name!) :)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Just a side note....VCoops...could you email me please at gibsons15 (at) sbcglobal (dot) net :)  Trust me...you'll want what I have :)

One Thing I Know For Sure: One week from today....court decree!

  3. One week, WOW. I agree, Carter seems like he is really blossoming already, walking all over, quickly picking up things you're teaching him. I hope getting him home will end his being sick a lot too. The scentsy idea is smart. My guess is it will help his transition. Blessings.

  4. Go, Carter, GO!! Absolutely amazing. What a testament to how great and wonderful adoption is!!!!

    Ah, Roarbert. My youngest sleeps with him. All three of my boys have one, but my older two no longer have scent paks in theirs. Hotwheel cars, toy soldiers, and batman live in there instead.
