Oh, Janie...

I got another nasty blog comment.  This time, by someone named 'janie'.  Really - for all I know 'she' could be a hairy old man.  She brought up one of the top used arguments against adoption - that we're 'buying' our baby.  Ha - yea...we've all heard that a million times.  Nothing new, 'Janie'.

And I have to say, Janie - the contents of your comment really speaks to your intelligence level.  Did you even read the post?  You commented that we're abandoning him - but if you had actually read it, you'd know that we're going back to be with him.  So...I guess the 'abandonment' comment is irrelevant.  If you're going to waste your Friday night leaving angry comments on strangers blogs (wow...sounds like a riveting social life you have...) then at least have your facts straight.

I'll say it again - move along, ugliness.  You're not welcome here.  Want to post your opinions (slanted as they might be)?  Great!  You're welcome to do so - on your own blog!

One Thing I Know For Sure: I've got too much of a life to worry about your comment...you should get one too!

  1. Good for you. What is wrong with some people?

  2. We read an article on bullying today and I told my students the comment that was left previously. They all gasped and said it was horrible. I've never been more proud.

  3. Janie seems to be making the rounds on RR blogs. Many of us are praying for "her". I can't imagine the pain someone must be in to intentionally try to hurt others. So sad.

  6. Hi Ashley,
"Janie" also likes to leave comments for the Shpak family. I've been following their blogs lately and if you don't know of them, their little son Ethan is hospitalized and in need of prayer (link below). Their other blog is about their journey to bring Shannon home from Eastern Europe (she has already been transfered). I am truly inspired by this family!

The fact that Janie would choose to harass a family such as this tells me she is really hurting and perhaps wants a child herself or gave up a child! I hope that as she continues to visit blogs her eyes will be opened. I feel sorry for her.

Love your blog and its new look! Best wishes to you.

  8. I really feel sorry for people who have nothing better to do with their time then to spread hate. What a horrible way to live.
Ignore her comments and focus on your beautiful little boy. I can hardly wait to see all the homecoming pictures :) *hugs*

  9. Hi I am quite sorry to hear of such negative comments left on your blog. I am personally touched by your family and feel it's changed my life that people like you are willing to share your story. I gues the reality is that there will be persecution from the world for following Gods will. But the blessings are much greater! You guys are amazing! Blessings !

  10. Oh, Janie--and all the other J names you seem to like to use to hide, crazy little person! We're buying our babies? I suppose I did that before when I paid for the medical care and oxygen and such that my biological daughter needed to survive when she was born with complications. It was a cost after all and every one knows that natural born babies are free of charge--tell that to the hospital that billed me! haha If a plane ticket is another cost for my baby born across the world, so be it! All babies come with expenses--some are just different forms than others.

  11. I've been out of town and am just catching up on your blog for the past week. Wow things are moving fast for you...hurray!!! As for buying babies...I would buy all that I could afford and then borrow to buy more...that is what Christ did for us...He gave all He had to save us and I will do all that I can to follow that. Call it whatever you want it is the most wonderful gift when God lets you do something so amazing as being a parent however that happens. Love love love your response to the negative comments!!!
